Frequently asked
Do you give free estimates?
Yes. John comes out for a free on-site walk-through, looks at access, soil, slope, and scope, and puts together a written estimate. We don't quote real prices over the phone — what the site actually needs drives the number, and that takes seeing it.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Fenton and cover Genesee, Oakland, Livingston, and Washtenaw County — including Flint, Grand Blanc, Linden, Holly, Hartland, Howell, Brighton, Milford, South Lyon, Wixom, Novi, Waterford, Auburn Hills, Pontiac, Durand, and Ann Arbor. Close to that area? Ask — we usually say yes.
Do you work on both residential and commercial projects?
Both. We handle homeowner projects like driveways, patios, drainage, and retaining walls, and commercial work like building pads, site clearing, utility trenching, and seasonal snow removal for businesses.
Why does "built for Michigan" matter?
Our freeze-thaw cycle is hard on anything built into the ground. Driveways that weren't based right heave and rut, walls that weren't drained bow and crack, and bad grades push water toward foundations. We build the base, drainage, and structure to take it — so the work holds up season after season.
How far ahead should I book?
It depends on the season and the scope. Snow contracts get set before winter; spring and summer fill up for grading, hardscape, and excavation. The sooner you reach out, the easier it is to fit your project into the schedule.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
For work that needs it — like septic installs — we coordinate cleanly with permitting and inspection so the job meets code and you're not stuck waiting on red tape.
